This project is a collateral design for a seminar called "Being Grown 101". The target demographic are young adults ages 18-30 years of age who are struggling to get their life and goals together, and there's a heavy influence of the concepts of mind, body, and spirit. The client wanted a logo and three page layouts: An initial flyer explaining the goals of the program, a poster with informational text, and a page detailing the sessions.
My client specifically wanted something that showed the aspects of mind, body, and spirit, as well as showing the message of getting help. I chose to use cool light pastel colors to create a calming vibe, and I used a handwritten-style typeface to make it more youthful like the target audience. I made two abstract figures of people holding hands to lift each other up, and I made the overlapping circles on mind, body, and spirit larger than the figures to show their struggle to carry it.
For the page layouts, I created a base template using the main colors of the logo. I chose to use an elliptical shape for the header to create dynamic movement in the page, and I made a blue sidebar to draw attention to additional text.
For this page, I wanted to experiment with the design by creating a header and footer design instead of a header and sidebar. Again, I chose to use an elliptical shape to make the design more appealing and eye-catching.
